<ARANEWS> 아라소프트(주)(대표 강정현)는 2022년 11월17일 인도 교육전문 출판사인 ARC사와 전자책 유통을 위한 공식 제휴 계약을 체결했다고 발표했다. 이에 따라 금명간 인도 ARC사가 기존 발간했던 인도판 (영어 버전이 주류, 이외 외국어판 다수) 종이책 버전이 전자책화해 아라소프트사가 오픈한 세계표준 플랫폼 아라북 www.araebook.com 에 탑재 되기 시작할 예정이다.
아라소프트와 인도 출판사 ARC는 지난 10월9일 개최된 독일 프랑크푸르트 도서전에 ARC 관계자가 아라소프트 전시 현장을 21일에 전격 방문, 아라소프트사가 epub3.0 기반으로 세계 최초로 상용화 개발 성공한 멀티미디어 전자책 제작도구 ‘나모오서’(Namo Author)와 플랫폼 아라북 (www.araebook.com) 을 통해 첨단 기술력을 살펴본 뒤, 특히 현장에서 시연된 멀티미디어형 전자책들을 보고 전격 제휴하기로 합의한 뒤, 이번에 공식 계약 체결한 것이다.
현지에 따르면 현재 ARC사의 Grade 5 Student Hand Book이 전자책 전환 작업 중인 것으로 전해졌다. 빠르면 오는 12월부터 인도 출판사 ARC사의 책들이 전자책으로 변환되어 아라북에 탑재되기 시작해 대한민국은 물론 세계 각 국에서도 인도 책들을 직접 접할 수 있게 될 전망이다.
ARC사는 인도 뉴델리에 위치. 출판사 지향 정신은 ‘교육을 의미 있고 혁신적으로 만들기 위한 교육-학습 솔루션 제공’으로 정하고 있다. 출발은 늦었다. 2019년 인도의 한 학교를 대상으로 1학년부터 8학년까지 8권의 책으로 시작했다. 그러나 그 이후 급성장한 출판사로 2021년에 인도, 중동, 포르투갈, 독일 등 50개 이상의 학교를 위한 본격적인 디지털 과정인 10권의 책(어린이집에서 8학년까지)을 발간하는 유명 교육전문 출판사로 성장한 출판사이다.
한편 강정현 대표는 오는 2022년 12월9일 인도 ARC사를 직접 현지 방문해 추가적 협력 협의를 가질 예정이다. <홍보팀> 2022.11.17

Arasoft has signed an official partnership contract with ARC, an Indian Education Publishing Company
The conversion of eBook from ARC existing paper books is in progress and will upload the converted eBooks to Arasoft official eBook distributing platform, AraeBook.
CEO Kang Jeong Hyun will be visiting India in person on December 9th to discuss additional cooperation.
He will also visit the National Book Trust under the Ministry of Education in India to discuss bilateral cooperation at the national level.
Arasoft and ARC Publishing Company participated in the Frankfurt exhibition on October 19 this year, and the later company visited Arasoft booth on October 21.
After looking at the cutting-edge technology under Namo Author, the world’s first multimedia eBook authoring tool that succeeded in commercializing based on ePUB3.0, and AraeBook Platform(www.araebook.com), in particular, after seeing the multimedia eBooks demonstrated, the official contract was signed.
According to local sources, ARC's Grade 5 Student Hand Book is currently in the process of eBook conversion. As early as December, books by Indian publisher ARC will be converted into eBooks and will be uploaded to AraeBook Platform, which will allow direct access to Indian books not only in South Korea but also in countries around the world.
ARC is located in New Delhi, India. The publisher vision is known as 'providing education-learning solutions to make education meaningful and innovative'. In 2019, it started with eight books for a school in India from first to eighth grades, and rapidly grew into a famous educational publisher that publishes 10 books (from daycare centers to eighth grade), a full-fledged digital course for more than 50 schools, including India, the Middle East, Portugal, and Germany, in 2021.
Meanwhile, CEO Kang Jeong Hyun will be visiting India ARC company in person on December 9, 2022 to hold additional cooperation consultations.
